Muslim accused of beheading plot had photos of police officers on his phone in UK

Meanwhile, British authorities are allowing Muslim clerics who have inspired just this kind of jihad violence to enter the country. What could possibly be the outcome but more jihad mass murder plots like this one? British authorities seem bent on committing national suicide.

A TRIO of Islamic extremists plotted a beheading in the UK after ISIS issued a chilling fatwa urging its followers to kill civilians, a court heard today.

Cousins Nadir Syed, 23, and Yousaf Syed, 20, and 29-year-old Haseeb Hamayoon were preparing the terror attack when they were arrested less than a week before the 2014 Poppy Day commemorations, it is claimed.

Both Nadir Syed and Hamayoon had pictures of Police Community Support Officers on their phones and Hamayoon had a ‘Rambo First Blood Part 2 II’ knife at his home, jurors heard.

Nadir Syed also had images of the beheading of fusilier Lee Rigby in Woolwich, southeast London.

He has already been convicted of the terror plot but his cousin Yousaf and Hamayoon are now on trial at the Old Bailey.

Prosecutor Max Hill QC told the court the ‘catalyst for violence’ was the announcement by Islamic State spokesman Abu-Mohammad al-Adnani on 21 September 2014.

Mr Hill added: “The proclamation is a truly chilling document.

“For Islamic extremists such as these defendants this fatwa created a considerable stir.

“They became aware of it on the day it was released, they discussed it themselves at length in an online chat group.

“It culminated in these defendants plotting to kill people with knives in this country.”

The fatwa ordered the targeting of Americans and Europeans, whether civilian or military, and included a command to ‘cut off their heads’.

Mr Hill continued: “his message is saying that anyone is fair game.”

The fatwa goes on to say: “If you are not able to find an IED or a bullet, then single out the disbelieving American, Frenchman or any of their allies.

“Smash his head with a rock, or slaughter him with a knife, or run him over with your car, or throw him from a high place, or choke him, or poison him.”

The court heard Hamayoon, who has a Pakistani passport, had lived in Australia and the USA while the Syeds are both British citizens.

poppy-4_2854889aOn 19 January 2014 the Syeds tried to travel to Syria with a third man who went on to become an Islamic State fighter, jurors were told.

But Nadir Syed was prevented from boarding the flight to Turkey because he was on police bail and Yousaf only got as far as Turkey, the court heard.

Hamayoon bought the £40 Rambo knife from a website called bladebargains.co.uk on 27 February 2014 and it was found at his home after his arrest on 6 November that year.

He claims he has an interest in knives for cooking and made videos of himself chopping onions and garlic, the court heard.

The prosecutor said: “That is a cooking knife, but what was his interest in the Rambo knife?”

Hamayoon also had photographs of a PCSO, patrolling the car park at a Mosque in Hounslow, west London, on 19 September last year, the court was told.

Nadir Syed, of Hounslow, west London, has already been convicted of the plot, jurors were told.

Yousaf Syed, of High Wycombe, Bucks and Hamayoon, of Hayes, west London, both deny preparing an act of terrorism contrary to section five of the Terrorism Act 2006, between September 20 and November 7, 2014.
