Following the beheading of 84-year-old Reverend Jacques Hamel at Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray during Mass by two Islamic State sympathizers, ISIS terrorist channels are comparing themselves to Nazi Germany.

Terrorist analyst Michael S. Smith II reports:

It reads:

It took Hitler 10 years to control France. But our state shook France in an hour from the north to south. May Allah bless you O soldiers of the caliphate.

Nazi Germany invaded France on May 10, 1940 after coming to power in 1933.

The BBC reports that armed men entered the church and took the reverend and four other people hostage. The hostage takers were later killed in a standoff with police.

Later reports confirmed that the priest had been beheaded on the church altar.

French President Francois Hollande has since confirmed that the attack was done in the name of ISIS.
